[Jeju_EVENT] Winter ski and sledding on Halla Mountain at the Eorimok Trail entrance

An important note on Jeju’s updated bus system and this blog post

From August 2017, Jeju Island implemented a new city and intercity bus system. It increased the number of buses in service, while simplifying the routes, fees and numbering system.

Consequently, the contents of this previously published blog post may have changed. We therefore would kindly request that you consult this page for new bus maps in English on VisitJeju.net,  and this page on our blog for a chart of the old and new bus route numbers.

If you read Korean, then the province’s official bus system website is a useful and up-to-date resource. We hope you’ll enjoy your travels on Jeju Island!

Mt. Hallasan is ready for you this winter.

In addition to enjoying the snow covered hiking trails, visitors will also have the chance to try a snow covered ski and sledding experience on the mountain too.

The Eorimok Trail start point will be the venue for all of this from December 20, 2014, through to January 31, 2015.

Activities begin at 10 a.m. and finish by 4 p.m.

There’s a photo zone and space for building a snowman with family as well.

Plus when you get cold there will be Korean snacks like steaming hot tteokbokki (rice cake snack food) and gimpbab (rice, dried seaweed, vegetable roll) on sale for refueling those cold and hungry mouths.

Foreign participants can get free souvenirs and guidebooks for joining.

A free shuttle bus service is available on weekends from Jeju City and Seogwipo Jungmun Resort.

So if you’re visiting the island this December or January and want a Jeju winter experience head on up to the Eorimok Trail start point.
