An important note on Jeju’s updated bus system and this blog post
From August 2017, Jeju Island implemented a new city and intercity bus system. It increased the number of buses in service, while simplifying the routes, fees and numbering system.
Consequently, the contents of this previously published blog post may have changed. We therefore would kindly request that you consult this page for new bus maps in English on VisitJeju.net, and this page on our blog for a chart of the old and new bus route numbers.
If you read Korean, then the province’s official bus system website is a useful and up-to-date resource. We hope you’ll enjoy your travels on Jeju Island!
Recently, Monsant Cafe in Aewol, Jeju has been gaining popularity on search engines because the owner is rumored to be G-Dragon. We have asked but received no confirmation. Whether the owner is famous or not, the cafe is worth a visit for the beautiful ocean view.

Address: Jeju-si, Aewol-eup, Aewol-ri 2546 (제주특별자치도 제주시 애월읍 애월리 2546)
To get there by bus:
Go to Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal, and take Bus #702 (towards Gosan).
After about 47 minutes, get off at the bus stop called Han Dam Dong (한담동).
Walk for about 5 minutes. It is right behind Bomnal Cafe (where Warm & Cozy was filmed).
Monsant Cafe’s has many glass windows so that you can easily get a view of the ocean while enjoying a cup of hot coffee.
If you sit outside, you not only see the ocean, but can feel the gentle breeze and warm sunshine.
The eclectic decor gives a rustic feel with warm hues of brown and wooden furniture.
The menu consists of different beverages, cookies, and even pizza and salad. Of course, coffee is the cafe’s specialty. We ordered the recommended Shakerato, which is a kind of espresso drink.
