Isidore Farm in Jeju

An important note on Jeju’s updated bus system and this blog post

From August 2017, Jeju Island implemented a new city and intercity bus system. It increased the number of buses in service, while simplifying the routes, fees and numbering system.

Consequently, the contents of this previously published blog post may have changed. We therefore would kindly request that you consult this page for new bus maps in English on,  and this page on our blog for a chart of the old and new bus route numbers.

If you read Korean, then the province’s official bus system website is a useful and up-to-date resource. We hope you’ll enjoy your travels on Jeju Island!

“Send a man to Hanyang (Seoul) and a horse to Jeju” is a Korean phrase that emphasizes Jeju island as the ideal environment for raising horses. At Isidore Farm, not only can you see horses, you can also enjoy some fresh milk products at Isidore Milk Cafe (우유부단).

Address: 38 Geumakdong-gil, Hallim-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju (제주특별자치도 제주시 한림읍 금악동길 38)

Directions by bus: From the Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal, you can take bus 782, 755, or 750 to Donggwangyukgeori (동광육거리). Then take bus 961 to Isidorehadanji (이시돌하단지) bus stop and walk for about 12 minutes. It’s better to go here by care than public transportation, especially in the summer.

Along the way to Isidore Milk Cafe, you can see horses grazing. Doesn’t this look like an idyllic pasture?

The Isidore Milk Cafe is the highlight at Isidore Farm. Here you can eat homemade ice cream. Yummy! But you gotta eat it fast because it melts quickly under the sun.

Another specialty of this cafe is the signature milk tea. It comes in a cute bottle that you can take home as a souvenir.

Thanks to the cows at the dairy farm, there are a variety of organic milk drinks for you to try. Check out the full menu here, which includes scones as well.

The parking lot of the cafe is also a lovely photo spot. You can sit under these milk carton-shaped benches. How fitting with the theme!

Walk for a few minutes and you will see a Cteshphon house, the only one of its kind in South Korea.

The architecture style is of Ctesiphon, a city near Baghdad, Iraq. It is a unique place for taking pictures, especially for wedding photos on Jeju.

From inside this house, you can see Isidore Milk Cafe.

If you plan to travel to the west coast of Jeju, come visit Isidore Farm. You can enjoy the peaceful scenery of horses grazing on the green grass and enjoy delicious organic ice cream.
