Jeju marks 5th anniversary of New7Wonders of Nature

Nov. 11 is the 5^th anniversary of Jeju Island being selected as one the New7Wonders of Nature sites. The seven finalists came from an initial 440 candidates worldwide. This topped off Jeju’s 2002 designation as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, its 2007 World Natural Heritage, and membership in 2010 with the Global Geoparks Network.

Jeju Island continues to recognize the importance of protecting its natural treasures. Today is a good reminder to all of us how much our island home means to us, and to the world.
