The Jeju Tourism Organization and the online travel site Trip Advisor signed an MOU today aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of Jeju tourism and bring more visitors to the island in the coming year.
Mr. Aaron Hung, Trip Advisor’s Senior Director of Asia Pacific Partnerships and JTO President Kap-Yeol Choi signed the agreement at the offices of the JTO in Jeju City.
The two directors agreed to work together in the production of online/offline promotions and campaigns, as well as sharing information and data regarding the Jeju tourism market.
President said in his speech that the “combination of Trip Advisor and its global platform, and the Jeju Tourism Organization’s content and marketing expertise, will result in a significant gains in FIT visitors from Jeju’s target markets, specifically Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and Western nations.”
In the afternoon, a joint online marketing seminar examined practical solutions to energize the island’s overseas FIT visitor market with specific reference to Trip Advisor’s big data approach.
