Jeju Island’s apricot (maehwa) blossoms are hinting at spring 

Jeju is slowly warming up as the days get longer and the island’s first blossoms are now beginning to appear. In advance of the full glory of the blossoming cherry and canola flowers, the apricot trees are making an appearance. You can check these out at the annual Maehwa Festival at Norimae Park, in Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo, though March 4th. Park hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

There’s also the Hallim Park Ume Flower Festival, in Hallim-eup, Jeju City. It runs until through the end of February. This famous theme park in Hyeopjae sits on 80 acres of land. Park hours are 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.
