There are a number of festivals and events you won’t want to miss
It’s that time of year and the very welcome annual Jeju Cherry Blossom Festival will be held. Of course the venue and schedule could be subject to changes, given the weather, so please double check before heading out. That said, here are a couple of notable events!

- Jeju Cherry Blossom Festival (Jeonnong-ro, Jeju City)
Schedule: 3 days from 2018.3.30 (Friday) to 4.1 (Sunday)
Location: Jeonnong-ro, Jeju City (제주시 전농)
This road is the site of a beautiful cherry blossom display in the heart of Jeju City. You can walk (the road is made pedestrian only for the event) among what appear to be beautiful tunnels of cherry blossom trees that extend some 1.3 kilometers from the KAL Hotel to Nanjo Intersection.
Jeonnong-ro is about 10 minutes by car from Jeju International Airport (about 5,000 won by taxi) so it’s very easy to get to.
The nearest bus stop is Jeju Jungang Girls Middle School (제주 중앙 여자 중학교) 434, 435, 440, 441, 442, 444, 445, 462 (branch bus [green]), 202, 290-1 (trunk bus [blue])
Access from the airport
Take the express bus [red] via the city bus terminal such as 101, 102, 111, 112, 121, 122, 131, 132, 151, 152, 181 at Jeju International Airport (제주 국제 공항) , Get off at Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal (제주 시외 버스 터 미널), change to the 440, 444, 446 branch bus [green] and get off at Jeju Jungang Girls Middle School. Bus fare is 2,000 won. It takes under 20 minutes.
- Jangjeon Cherry Blossom Festival
Schedule: 2 days from 2018.4.7 (Saturday) to 4.8 (Sunday)
Location: Jangjeon Elementary School (제주시 장전 초등학교) in Aewol-eup, Jeju City
This cherry blossom festival, held in the neighborhood of Jangjeon Elementary School in Aewol-eup is open at night as well, with the trees being illuminated so that visitors can take in their splendor while enjoying the cool evening breeze. There are plenty of places to eat, listen to music, and have fun with family, friends, or your significant other. Why not enjoy the beautiful night cherries with musical accompaniment?
The nearest bus stop is Jangjeon Elementary School (장전초신학교) 290 – 1 (trunk bus [blue]), 455, 792 – 1, 792 – 2, 793 – 1 (branch bus [green])
Access from the airport
Take express bus [red] of No. 102 (Seogwipo Bus Terminal (서귀포 버스 터미널) and get off at Jeju International Airport (제주국제공항). Then take bus 455 and change at Hagwi Elementary School (하귀 초등하교) stop to the 799 – 1 branch bus [green] and get off at Jangjeon Elementary School (장전 초등학교). Bus fare is 2,000 won. It takes about 40 minutes.

It’s a very famous cherry blossom viewing spot at this time of year, and you’ll notice many people bring picnic baskets, blankets, and snacks to enjoy hours under the branches of the trees.

Access from the airport
Take the trunk bus [blue] No. 365 (Jeju University (제주대). The bus fare is 1,200 won and the trip will take just under an hour.
