[Visit Jeju Island] From farm to table… fresh island food

You’ve heard the expression “farm fresh”… well, here’s a video taken just this morning of a farmer on his tractor as the sun rose over the west of Jeju Island.

The scene is a reminder of just how Jeju’s rural roots provide us with fresh, wholesome food — islanders and visitors alike.

In fact, there is a concept on Jeju of “black food” which refers to several local products, namely black pig, black cow, black rice, black soybean, and black sesame. These are categorized according to their color and overall nutritional value.
