Korean food might be famous around the world for its spiciness, but that is not the case with Jeju cuisine. Jeju people prefer marinated soy bean paste as a base (dwenjang) for some dishes that traditionally in the mainland are made by using red chilli pepper paste.
Also special to Jeju Island is the amount, quality and freshness of its seafood dishes. Everything here on the table is either straight from the fields or straight from the ocean.
