Jeju Province puts safety first as ‘golden holiday’ weekend approaches

Today, April 28th, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province placed masks on “dolhareubang” stone grandfather statues in the arrivals area of Jeju International Airport to alert visitors of COVID-19 precautions ahead of the ‘golden holiday’ (a six-day holiday from April 29 to May 5) which is expected to bring some 180,000 tourists to the island. There will also be mask-wearing dolhareubang statues at other locations around the island, including major tourist destinations, as a public service reminder.
