I’m always pleasantly surprised by Jeju Island’s biodiversity. Populations of birds, mammals, insects, and of course fish, are relatively plentiful, though obviously facing the dangers of global environmental degradation.
Here is a video taken Sunday on the west side of the island featuring the sound of bees. It’s a small, though positive, indicator of environmental health.
Please note: Due to the COVID-19 crisis, many of Jeju’s seasonal festivals and tourist destinations have closed. Meanwhile, though, we would like to highlight some of the island’s natural attractions. We sincerely hope you will visit Jeju once the crisis has passed.
