[Notice, Aug. 30 8 a.m.] Details of Jeju COVID-19 cases #39, #40, #41, #42

In the last day or so, Jeju has marked four new COVID-19 cases.

Summary

#39: Contact in Seoul (Nowon-gu, Seoul case)

#40, #42: Contact at Sanbangsan Tansan Hot Springs (related to Jeju cases #29 and #33

#41: Contact with a guest (Gangdong-gu Seoul case #138) infected at Rooftop Garden Guesthouse in Namwon-eup (related to Jeju cases #36 and #37)


#39 was in Seoul and came into contact with a COVID-19 positive person in Nowon-gu. The person returned to Jeju on Air Seoul flight RS923 from Gimpo on Aug. 28 at 3:10 p.m. They were informed of contact by Seoul health authorities the next day (Aug. 29th) and sought to be tested at 12:30 p.m. at Jeju Health Center Screening Clinic. The person is now in treatment in a COVID-19 isolation ward.

#40 and #42 were tested yesterday after they received separate notices from inspectors that they had been at the same hot spring at the same time as the recently infected Jeju couple (#29, #33). They sought testing at Jeju City Health Center and Seogwipo City Health Center (West), respectively, and were transferred for treatment in a COVID-19 isolation ward.

#41 is an employee at the Wind Stays Guest House in Aewol-eup, Jeju City and came into contact with Gangdong-gu Seoul case #138 who stayed there Aug. 26 and Aug. 27. Gangdong-gu case #138 stayed at the Rooftop Garden Guest House in Namwon-eup, Seogwipo the previous night (Aug. 25) and came into contact with Jeju cases there (a worker, the owner of Rootop Guesthouse) #36 and #37.
