Here are today’s COVID-19 stats issued by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for Sept. 10, 2020.
Sept. 9, 10:30 p.m.: Jeju’s 50th COVID-19 patient was diagnosed after nearly 2 weeks of self-isolation. They are now being treated at Seogwipo Medical Center. This individual was in self-isolation after coming into contact with patient #36 (who works at the Rooftop Garden Guesthouse who was diagnosed on Aug. 27). This brings the total Rooftop Garden coronavirus cluster to 12 cases (five on Jeju).
Sept. 9: Jeju patients #39 and #45 were discharged from hospital.
Sept. 8: Jeju’s 49th COVID-19 patient arrived from the U.S. and was diagnosed after screening at Jeju Airport. Standard protocols for overseas arrivals were in place and exposure to the public was limited.

Jeju case #49, the individual who arrived from the U.S. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, took Korean Air flight KE1235 (1:10 p.m.~2:20 p.m.) from Gimpo Airport to Jeju Airport.
It is now mandatory to wear masks in multi-use facilities. Fines of up to 100,000 won are in effect and apply to islanders and tourists alike. Please help us keep Jeju Island safe for everyone~! Thank you!
