[Notice] COVID-19 Status for Jeju Province, Sept. 11

Here are today’s COVID-19 stats issued by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for Sept. 11, 2020.


There were two announcements made on Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. 

– Jeju’s 52nd COVID-19 patient was diagnosed after being exposed at Sanbangsan Tansan Hot Springs in Andeok-myeon at the end of August. This brings the total Hot Springs coronavirus cluster to 8 cases (seven on Jeju #29·33·40·42·44·46·52, one in Pyeongtaek #91).

Jeju’s 51st COVID-19 patient is a foreign student from Nepal who arrived on Sept. 10 on Korean Air flight KE1231 from Gimpo touching down at 1:30 p.m. They were subject to testing at Jeju Airport’s walk-through screening station. Standard protocols for overseas arrivals were in place and exposure to the public was limited.


It is now mandatory to wear masks in multi-use facilities. Fines of up to 100,000 won are in effect and apply to islanders and tourists alike. Please help us keep Jeju Island safe for everyone~! Thank you!
