[Notice] COVID-19 Status for Jeju Province, Sept. 14

Here are today’s COVID-19 stats issued by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for Sept. 14, 2020.

Summary

– Jeju’s 53rd COVID-19 patient was diagnosed on the evening of Friday, Sept. 11, after being exposed (as an employee) at Sanbangsan Tansan Hot Springs in Andeok-myeon at the end of August. This brings the total Hot Springs coronavirus cluster to 9 cases (eight on Jeju #29·33·40·42·44·46·52·53, one in Pyeongtaek #91). After a detailed epidemiological investigation, it was determined that no one was in direct contact with patient #53.

– Over the weekend, patients #35 and #42 were discharged from hospital. On Friday, Sept. 11, patients #34, #40, #41 were also discharged.

From Sept. 11 most public spaces on Jeju Island are subject to mandatory mask use (bus terminals, museums, movie theaters, bowling alleys, pools, underground shopping malls, etc.), and multi-use facilities (churches, concert halls, traditional markets, etc.).
