Here are today’s COVID-19 stats issued by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for Sept. 15, 2020.
Three more Jeju COVID-19 cases (#54, #55, #56) were announced late last night. The province said that three members of a family that visited the Seoul Capital Area from Sept. 4 to Sept. 9 came down with symptoms of a sore throat on Sept. 11. They sought testing on Sept. 14 and their positive diagnosis was received at just before 10 p.m. that same day. Health officials are conducting an epidemiological investigation and will make that public when available. We will update this post at that time.
Note [Updated Sept. 11]
From Sept. 11 most public spaces on Jeju Island are subject to mandatory mask use (bus terminals, museums, movie theaters, bowling alleys, pools, underground shopping malls, etc.), and multi-use facilities (churches, concert halls, traditional markets, etc.). Fines of up to 100,000 won are in effect and apply to islanders and tourists alike. Please help us keep Jeju Island safe for everyone~! Thank you!
