[Notice] COVID-19 conditions and related news for Jeju, Feb. 19, 2021

Here are today’s COVID-19 stats issued by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency for Feb. 19, 2021. (Info in English: ncov.mohw.go.kr/en)


– As of 10 a.m. Friday morning, there are 20 COVID-19 patients in Jeju hospitals. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 556 cases have been recorded and at present 340 people are in self-isolation. Jeju has had one COVID-19-related fatality. (Source: covid19.jeju.go.kr

– Jeju province has reduced its Jeju-style social distancing protocols to level 1.5 through to the end of February. Please note that private gatherings of 5 people or more are still prohibited, though immediate family gatherings are now permitted.

– If you have questions about the latest news about visitor destination closures, you can contact the Jeju Tourist Information Center daily 9 a.m ~ 6 p.m.


– Individuals must wear masks in all public spaces. Failure to comply may result in fines of up to 100,000 won. Businesses will also be subject to fines of 1.5 to 3 million won in cases of non-compliance.
