The YouTube creator Tayler went on a tour of the tangerine capital of South Korea: Jeju Island!
Jeju is home to several different citrus varieties. They typically grow and ripen in orchards across the island in the colder months. You can spot them by looking for groves of trees that are around 3 meters tall, decorated with festive, brightly orange treats.
On this adventure, Tayler went to a tangerine farm-themed cafe and spent time picking her own fruit and making tangerine pie.
Plus, she went to the souvenir shop Moiso, which uses a stylized way of writing its name using shapes approximating the Hangeul characters 모이소 (square, circle, and triangle). It looks just like the invitation cards in Squid Game. Cool right?
We hope you enjoy this video documenting Tayler’s impressive experience!
Please note: During the COVID-19 pandemic, traveling to Jeju is problematic. In the meantime, we are highlighting some of the island’s attractions. We sincerely hope you will visit Jeju once it is safe to do so.
