Taxis are useful to tourists and locals alike. You’ll find that grabbing a cab in Jeju is relatively easy and inexpensive. If you’re looking to explore Jeju by visiting lesser-known sites, a hired Global Taxi may be the right option for you.

CATCHING A TAXI AT THE AIRPORT

There is a well-organized taxi stand at Jeju International Airport right outside of Gate 3 of the Arrivals Hall (1st floor). There are regular taxis (seats up to 4), or jumbo taxis (seats up to 8).

GIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE TAXI DRIVER

Most cab drivers in Jeju only speak Korean so you can use the JTO’s or KTO’s free translation services by phone.

TAXI FARES

The base fare for taxis in Jeju is very affordable at ₩3,300 for the first 2 kilometers, after which it will increase incrementally. Jumbo Taxis have a base fare of ₩4,500 and increases incrementally. Note that fares increase by 20% between midnight and 4 a.m.

GLOBAL TAXI TOUR: WHAT IT IS & COST

A Global Taxi Tour is a chauffeur service operated by the Jeju provincial government that may be a great option if you are planning on sightseeing outside of Jeju City and want personalized service. Upon making your reservation, you will be given the contact information of the driver. You can then make arrangements directly with the driver. You can choose all your destinations or have the driver recommend spots for you. They can give you a guided tour in English. An 8-hour day of touring will range from ₩180,000 to ₩330,000 depending on the size of our group, etc.
