Jeju might be South Korea’s warmest region, but winter is fast approaching! In the news today, we’re expecting cold temperatures all this week.
The Jeju Regional Meteorological Administration reports that daytime highs will barely top 10°C, so you’ll notice everyone bundling up with winter jackets and scarves.
Conditions will remain overcast and windy, with intermittent rain expected along the coast and snow at higher elevations.
This means that hikers up on Hallasan Mountain (at a top elevation of 1,950m) will have to wear special gear (like spiky crampons on their boots) to make it to the summit.
But they’ll be in for a beautiful treat when they get there!
